Tom’s smile, shirts, and willingness to help those in need in our communities will be missed. He was everywhere in our community. While I did not know him well, our paths crossed on several occasions as community colleagues as he represented PG&E and I represented Kaiser Permanente. He was someone you could count on, and these days, that matters more than ever.
Tom, you will be missed.

I am so very saddened to have learned of Tom Guarino's passing I got to know Tom shortly after he arrived at KCPO Radio in Quincy (Plumas County), California. I had just been elected as a Portola City Councilmember about that same time. We had a very friendly relationship and the fact that I grew up in Rosemead, which is about 15 miles from Covina where Tom grew up, didn't hunt anything. Even after Tom went to Paradise we still kept our friendship going. Eventfully, I relocated to the S.F. East Bay Area and as time went on I lost contact with Tom only to discover through the news of his passing that all these years we were only a few miles apart once again. May you Rest In Peace, my friend.........

Tom was with the Chamber of Commerce when I came to San Leandro as a developer of Creekside Plaza Office Park. His willingness to introduce me to the members of the Community, City Staff, and Political leadership along with his generosity, kindness, and skill set was a big factor in my investing in San Leandro. I shall miss Tom.

I was a good friend of Tom in high school...Northview High in Covina. He was always easy to talk to and very humble with a quick wit. We had lots of good times together. He seems to have touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

Such a loss to our community! He was always a cheerful and friendly face at a Pleasant Hill Chamber Mixer or while visiting our Rotary Club!
Rest In Peace. You deserve it!

I find it difficult to believe that Tom is gone. He had such an impact on the Bay Area in such a small space of time. His goodness, skill, personality and life touched so many. I will miss him always. He was a terrific mainstay for me when I was serving the city of San Leandro.
