I had many enjoyable encounters with Brian at the races over a long period of years. He loved the races and having a bet, and we had many discussions always interlaced with his dry sense of humour. Deepest sympathy.

Brian was in the same class as I was in the 6th form at Christchurch West High School. I recall his excellent tennis playing ability. He rang me and then called on me after the 2011 earthquakes as we lived in nearby areas.

My deepest sympathy to all Brian's family.

Worked with Bryan at Hicks & Ainger in the mid 1950s. He had a very funny droll sense of humour which kept is in great spirits. A much under-rated tennis player too. Olly Pitcaithly
