Alexandra Kate Babcock, a native and resident of Baton Rouge and a child of God, went home to be with her heavenly Father on January 9, 2018, as a result of an automobile accident. Alex was 25 years old and an RN-BSN who worked in the ICU at OLOL hospital in Baton Rouge. She had planned to return to school this summer to become a Nurse Practitioner. Alex loved her work and loved helping people; it was why she chose nursing as her career. Alex was always outgoing, vibrant, and fun to be around. Her family most enjoyed all the wonderful time spent together with Alex on family vacations. She was an amazing person who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Pamela Babcock; grandmother Peggy Babcock of Naples, FL; grandfather, John Patten of Minneapolis; aunt, Molly Day and cousin, Shannon Day of Boston; uncle and aunt, Scott and Suzan Patten of Minneapolis. Preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Babcock and grandmother, Sharon Patten. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 1:00PM until service at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex's name to Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge: www.caabr.org. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
