I didn't know Cherie, but I stumbled across her Quora account today. Her children and grandchildren should know she spent the last days of her life (as little as 15 days before she passed away) writing about her journey. She originally started her story about her late husband, your dad and Grandad. Then, she began hers. If you've already seen this, I apologize for opening old wounds. https://qr.ae/TWG9ga

I grew up across the street from Cherie in Donwood subdivision..we were like 8 years old......I re-connected with her after 40 years on facebook and inboxed her about a birthday party she had....I told her I had broken one of her gifts messing with it and didn't tell her....she said "Has that been bothering you all these years?"...let that go! That seems to be the kind of person she turned out to be and I've learned so much from her throughout her illness....gracious....humble....my prayers are with all of you....

Cherie was such a loving person and loved by many. Even though we hadn't talked for years, she was such a great help to me during my divorce. It was like no time was lost and we picked up right where we left off. Her strength is everlasting.
Continuing prayers for the family.

I have been so very blessed to have you in my life. I am so thankful that you showed me such a wonderful example of motherhood, being a classy and intelligent woman, and a loyal wife and friend. I will miss all of our talks where you always listened and made me feel heard. You always validated my feelings, were never scared to tell me what I might not want to hear, and loved me through all of my faults. You are the best Momma Bear!
I will honor your memory by living each day to its fullest. I will wake up every morning and try to make the best of everyday. I will find something that makes me happy daily because I can hear your words, "You only have one life! Do what makes you happy!"
I am praying for peace and comfort to my siblings Jennifer, RuthAnn, Laura, and Micah. I love and respect each of you so much. I'm praying for peace and comfort for Nanny and all the grandchildren and all of the family and friends grieving. Extra big hugs to each of you.
I love you Mom! I hope you and Daddy are enjoying the view on the beach flying high!❤❤❤

Jen and family,
I am so blessed to have had Cherie as a very dear friend. I know there is a void there that will never be filled. I am also blessed to have been able to sit in her home and watch this wonderful family take such good care of her. I miss her so much but she is our angel in heaven watching over us, pain free. May God's grace give you peace and comfort. She loved all of y'all so much and cherished each of you. Hugs to you all, see you soon Jen.
