We really miss you pops, it has been hard but I will try my best to live up to the man you were. I appreciate everything that you did for me and I will never forget the life lessons that you taught me as long as I live. Thanks for being my Father and the Grandfather of my children. You are truly missed by many, and never forgotten by all. I love you!

My deepest condolences to the family of MAJ David Terrell Jr. David and I were classmates in ROTC at Southern University. I always remembered him to be an outstanding leader who truly cared about his subordinates. He was always smiling and was truly a kind and compassionate person. I knew that he would make an outstanding military officer. May God comfort you in your time of sorrow.

Major Terrell touched and changed so many lives! Among so many other things, he taught me to never let fear be my reason to quit, but instead fuel me to go head first. I'm so glad to have been under his command at Amite Co. High. He has left a footprint in this world that no one can fill. Major, thank you for all that your did for myself and so many more. The world has lost a rare gem! You will truly be missed.

Major Terrell was such an outstanding mentor! His words of encouragement & his infectious smile will forever be in our hearts. I will never forget the many life lessons he shared to myself and so many students at Amite County High School. He made a mark on so many.

My God's Mercy, Love and Grace be with you. David served as a deacon with the Cusseta Road Church of Christ, Columbus Georgia during his tour of duty at Fort Benning, Georgia. It was our desire for him to retire here. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
