Jesse Louis Baker, Jr., died on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. He was 80 years old, a resident of Zachary and was retired from Tembec with 36 years of service. He was veteran of the US Marine Corps. Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 1030am. Burial will be at Shaw McHugh Cemetery, Zachary. "Louie" is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ludie Baker and a son, Marshall Louis and wife, Melinda. Son in law, Hans Othmer and 4 grandchildren, Devan Marshall Othmer, Jacob Brian Othmer, Delaney Paige Baker and Cade Ethan Baker. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Baker Othmer, parents, Jesse and Iona Baker, sister, Shirley Hunt and brothers, Gary and Bert Baker.
