Mother Mittie L. Harrell Fisher was called to her eternal home on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1:56 pm at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:6-8) Mother Mittie L. Harrell Fisher was born on April 5, 1934 to the late Lucille H. Coleman and Hawthorne Harrell and helped reared by the late Charlie (Britton) Coleman, in Greenburg, LA. Mother Mittie L. Fisher accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of the late Elder H.K. Donald of Cedar Grove Church of God In Christ in Baywood, LA. After many years of service under the leadership of H.K. Donald, she continued her service for the Lord at Open Door Fellowship Life Center International under the leadership of Apostle Leroy Banks, where she served until she received her wings and entered into eternal rest. Mother Mittie L. Fisher was the mother of the community, her kitchen was always open (just wash you hands). Mother Fisher was a pillar of the community and was loved by many. Mother Mittie L. Fisher was married to the late John T. Fisher, Sr. on August 28, 1954. To this blessed union eight children were born; five girls and three boys. Mother Mittie L. Fisher leaves to cherish her memories seven children; Sherry Holiday (Leroy), Zachary, LA; John T. Fisher, Jr, Baton Rouge, LA; Maxine Williams, Zachary, LA; Antionette Fisher, Baker, LA; Anthony Fisher, Baton Rouge, LA; Delinda Joseph, Baker, LA; Dr. JoAn Fisher-Ranel (Jeffrey, Sr) Zachary, LA; Spiritual son Apostle Leroy Banks (Christine); twenty-one grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one god-son Pharron Turner, Baton Rouge, LA; six sisters, four brothers, lifelong friend Sabra Turner, Baywoood, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation at Richardson Funeral Home of Clinton Thursday, January 10 from 5 - 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday at Open Door Fellowship at 9 am until service at 11.

Sherry Ann, John, Jr., Maxine, Antionette, Anthony, DeLinda and Dr. Jo An:
We extend our deepest condolences for your loss. We hold sweet memories of the friendship and fellowship our families enjoyed for many years. We will remember those many Saturday evening visits in one another's homes and eating homemade ice cream, and being in church together at Cedar Grove COGIC. The Magnolia tree John, Jr., planted in our front yard over 40 years ago, stands tall and is a delightful memorial of the friendship of the Davises and the Fishers. May the Lord grant Mother Fisher sweet rest and eternal life with Him.
