This was sad news. Mr. White was my favorite teacher in 1970-72 at Slidell High. He was a wonderful man and I'm glad I got to know him.

Ms. Bertha and children,
Monsieur Blanc's smile was the light we could always count on during those early days of integration at Slidell High. He never allowed to hold our heads down for any reason...teaching and showing us that we were somebody.
Family, thank you for sharing him with all of us at Slidell High, Tenth Street and Lincoln Park.
To his children, he was not just a black man, but a MAN who stood tall and for what was right. Rest in Paradise, Monsieur Blanc, rest in the loving arms of our Maker.
