Dixie Renee La Mott

Dixie Renee La Mott was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA on December 31, 1952 to Murray E. Whitfield and Midge Whitfield. Her family was by her side when she met with the Lord on December 27, 2020.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years Steven Dale La Mott. 5 children: Stephanie (David) Eskew of Bakersfield, CA, Lisa (Bob) Grover of Soledad, CA, Jennifer La Mott (Adam Garza) of Salinas, CA, Christina (Sean) Mills of Fresno, CA and Christopher La Mott of Plymouth, CA. Grandchildren: Krista Eskew, Hailey Higgins, Cheyanne Eskew, Joshua Grover, Kaleb Mills, Luke Eskew, Jacob Mills, Makynzie Grover, Brinnleigh La Mott, Leighton La Mott and Ermersyn La Mott. Brother Ronnie and sister-in-law Jeanene Whitfield of Bakersfield, CA. Mother-in-law Maxine and sister-in-law Cathy La Mott, cousins, nieces, nephews and their loving Collie dog Bailey.

Dixie is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Ricky and Robert Whitfield.

She enjoyed spending endless quality time with her family by cooking/baking, going on trips to Pismo Beach, and eating at her favorite restaurants. She relaxed in the evenings with Steven by having a fire in the fireplace, listening to 60's music and having her favorite wine. Most recently they purchased a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 where she re-lived her teenage years. Dixie was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her family was the light of her life. She will forever be in our hearts.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with immediate family only on January 16, 2021.
