Dear Dan, David, and family,
I am sadden to learn about the death of your mother.
I had the privilege and the honor to work with her as her principal at Lower and as her colleague at the Middle School.
Your mother had an infectious smile, a loving and caring disposition. She touched the lives of many individuals she met and taught. Your mother taught with her "heart" and always made an effort to know each individual she taught.
She had faith in God and lived that faith daily.
The community, school district, students, friends, and colleagues lost a most caring and loving person, but were fortunate in knowing her.
My condolences to you and your loved ones.

Kay was the very essence of a lady and I was fortunate to call you my friend. Kay was blessed with many friends because she knew how to be a friend. May God surround your family with his white light of comfort and healing.

I was a classmate of Kay's Reynoldsville Senior High School Class of 1956. She was a very common person, with lots of smiles and a true friend. She was a outstanding classmate and will always be in our memory. God bless the family she will surely be missed.

Mrs. Dannehower was the best teacher I had at Pottsgrove. She changed and impacted many lives, many more than I'm sure she even realized in a positive way.

So sorry to hear the news about your mom. She was quite honestly one of my favorite 'moms' ever. She was always so kind and reassuring no matter what the issue of the day might have been. She will be forever in Deb and my hearts and prayers .

Mrs. Dannehower -- You are a beautiful person, inside and out. You raised amazing sons and nurtured many generations of Pottsgrove's little people. You had grace, laughter, love, and a personality that made others feel very at ease. As the classmate of your son as well as your colleague, I feel blessed to have had your presence in my life. There is something to be said about knowing someone is on your side. Thank you, Kay, for being there and for being who you are. The world will miss you.
