Karen and I are deeply moved and express out thoughts and prayers. I was the Admiral's writer when he had command of CRUDESLANT in Newport, RI, just prior to the move to Norfolk. He and Trina was the most gracious people that we knew and who could ever remember how he was like a "school kid" when our oldest daughter was born at the Naval Hosp Newport. The Admiral was a role model, leader, and academia for professional and personal development.
Admiral Tom and Trina, RIP. The Destroyer community will deeply miss you both.

We are sending along our prayers to the family and friends of Thomas Weschler. We were introducted to the Tall Ship project in Rhode Island and aware of all that Thomas had done to see it through. We are honored to provide support for that which he was the founder for and hope to help again in his memory.

It is with feeling of loss that the ships crew of the Destroyer USS Clarence K Bronson DD-668 learned of the passing of our former Skipper VADM Thomas Weschler. When he came aboard in 1952 for the Change of Command before sailing for Korea, we looked at each other and said there will be change now. All the changes were for the good and the crew was pleased with his command. His command was a credit to the Navel Academy and to his family heritage. A man of GOD who lived it that way. May the heavenly water sails now be calm.

It is sad to see another member of the class of 1939 has gone. I have just found one of his notes to his classmate- my father - Hubert T Murphy, who died in February of 2013 -
As he suggested I am "taking the watch" for my dad - can be reached at [email protected]
"Murph" saved everything and has many class of 1939 memories in paper form....
Our best wishes to your family
