Emily was my roommate in Ann Arbor when we were Dietetic Interns in 1950-51. We have stayed friends for all these years and have visited many times in Palm Springs. I will miss our long telephone calls. My affection to her family---she was so proud of all of you.

Our love and sympathy go out to Emily Williams' family in your great sorrow. My friendship with Emily grew through the PS Republican Women's Club and her career in medicine. In fact, it was SHE who listened and advised me (in my mid 50s) to pursue my next career in Health Education at Loma Linda University which I completed at age 60, thanks to Emily! It was a big turning point and I will always cherish and thank her for her wonderful advice, inspiration, and motivation. Bless you Emily!

Williams Family:

Dr. Williams was a strong leader in the history and development of the Palm Springs village. As an Officer in the Palm Springs Women's Club she was responsible for providing me with a college scholarship for five years. This truly changed my life. By providing scholarships, I believe she changed the lives of many others, as well. You all should be very proud of her generosity, strength and contributions to her community as well as her family.
