I remember being a part of the Koedyker's daycare and then was blessed again to see his smile so many years later. It was an honor to have known such a great man. My love to the family.

My condolences to the Koedyker family. I worked with Mr. Koedyker, when he was a member of the Desert Sands Unified School District Board of Trustees. He was a valuable member of the Board and the Indio community, as he was an advocate for youth. Mr. Koedyker made a significant positive difference in many lives and for this will be remembered.

I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was one one the nicest and genuine people I've had the pleasure to work with and know. The world is better off because of his love of kids, people and commitment to the community.

That is the face we remember.
Jim entered our lives as the officer who helped students stay safe. It was a joy to watch him interact with students.
When our son was ready for daycare he, and many of our friends'children, were off to Cherie's. We were blessed to know our children were in a safe and nurturing environment. Through the years we got to know Jim, Cherie, Kristin and David.
When Jim joined the DSUSD school Board we were thrilled. He was a man who truly put the needs of students first.
As the years have passed we would see Jim at different events and it was always like no time had passed. He always had a smile and an antidote that let us know how proud he was of his children and then his grandchildren.
Jim was a exceptional man and he will be missed, but he will also be remembered by all those whose hearts he touched.
Our empathy goes out to Cherie, Kristen, David and all of Jim's family.
Hiram, Cindy and Kendric Stern
