Linda Seems Obituary

Linda H. Seems

La Quinta - Linda H. Seems, 59, passed away on July 16th, 2019 in La Quinta, CA. She was born on January 19th, in Los Angeles, CA, as the only daughter to David and Ruth Hughes. Linda was a long time resident of the Coachella Valley and was a graduate of both Indio High School ('77) and College of the Desert ('89). She was a teller at Central Coast Savings for eight years, and an Avon Sales Representative for ten years before being a stay at home mom for her only daughter, Samantha. She will be most remembered for her infectious sense of humor, her caring nature and her willingness to always help others.

Linda enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, reading and being an avid deal finder and coupon collector. She was a member of the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, the Lupus Foundation of America and the Breast Cancer Foundation. She will be missed by many.

Linda battled hard throughout her life to beat cancer, survive the challenges of life post stroke, and how to live with lupus. She was a strong woman and it was difficult to tell the challenges she dealt with daily due to the happiness she radiated. She is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Samantha, brother Don H. and wife Bonnie, brother Larry H. and wife Vicki, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is being organized by her daughter and if you would like to attend, please get in contact with Mike or Samantha for information. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen foundation or the Lupus Foundation of America in Linda's name.
