I so enjoyed Linda at our Wednesday gatherings, painting, crafting, or just talking, reminiscing, and lots of laughter. Rest well, sweet Linda.

My Annette Funicello an original "Mousketeer" (grand kids and folks younger than 60 years can look her up on the internet)

I am so grateful that Linda and Jon have been part of my life from the time my family & I arrived in the desert in early 73".

Jon demonstrated his love for Linda at every opportunity. In fact I would get upset because he set the bar to high for most of us.

On one occasion after the Auto Club Office moved to La Quinta Jon came by early in the morning (I believe it was their anniversary) before we opened and asked every one to step out to the corner of Hwy 111 and Washington (this was before Point Happy was developed west of us. He pointed to a Hwy Bill board sign across the street that been draped, waved his arm to an accomplice at the sign and the drape dropped revealing a "I love you, Linda".

On another anniversary he catered a luncheon meal for their lunch at the office in the back of his pick-up with white linen and silver table setting served by a well trained sophisticated waiter.

How could any of us poor guys from the office ever top either of those?

Every body at the Auto Club thought I was the manager but you can tell from the photo "Fitz" was the real boss.

Fitz was there when I arrived at the Auto Club in Indio and when I retired from the Auto Club in La Quinta 28 years later and my life was much enriched by her.

Even though we seldom visited after retirement I already feel a vacuum in my life.

I pray the Lord is saying "Well Done good and faithful servant"

Richard "Dick" Jandt
