To the family of Roberta Sue Gonzales. May the love of family and friends comfort you. Blessed are they that mourned: for they shall be comforted.

My family offers our deepest condolences on the loss of your mother, wife, sister and friend. Our prayers will be continually lifted for her family during this difficult time. Here's what I remember of your mom. My family lived in the same neighborhood, in La Verne, CA back in the 70's and 80's, as Katy and Jeff growing up. In fact, just around the corner. I could see their house from my front yard on Ghent. We have so many fond memories of them. Mrs. Gonzales was a great neighborhood mom, who helped keep an eye on all of us. See we were an adventurous, Evel Knievel bunch. We would build huge bike ramps, from whatever we could find, borrow our dads tools, and then jump them in the cul-de-sacs. The bigger the better. We made make shift go-karts that went faster then they should have, and side hack bikes that weren't welded or wired togather so great. All these inventions were great and fun. But they also created a lot of bumps, scrapes and bruises. Mostly on me though. See, I was the neighborhood crash test dummy. Lol She bandaged scrapes and cuts on us rough and tumble neighborhood kids, especially me, then tell us to "go home and have your mom look at that". She would call our mom to make sure we made it home and if we "needed stitches" She didn't hesitate to stop any of kids dead in our tracks and set us straight if we were misbehaving. But she did so in a way that we respected her and minded. She never hesitated to help. It didnt matter if it was helping us find a pet that out or giving us lemonade on a hot Saturday while we were outside playing.Hold on to those precious memories. She was a genuinely loving and caring lady. She will be missed.Love, The Wallace's Georgia, Donnie, Timmy, Stan, Joann and Jim

To a wonderful sis-in-law, and loving aunt to my children. It was a blessing to have you a part of our lives.
