it just floored me when I read this as I was sitting in a restaurant here in Orlando. Gary was such a nice guy, and a good athlete as well. We played a lot of balll together, and I spent a lot of time over at their house on Hillsborough Road. His parents were so nice and kind. I really thought highly of his Mom and Dad. They were so nice, like Gary. Wishing all family and close ones are able get through this sad and tragic time. R.I.P. old time and long ago pal.

Good friend during our CHS days. Prayers for the entire family.

Gary and his family were the first friends I made when I moved to Clarksville in 1965 . We were neighbors on Hillsboro Road and he generously offered me, the new girl on the block, friendship. As happens in life, we moved on from that carefree time and kept in touch via inquiries through mutual friends. My heart aches with all who cared for him to learn of his passing. He was one of the finest. Rest in peace,my friend. May the Lord comfort your family and friends as we cherish our memories of your walk with us.
