FRANK PFENDT Frank Pfendt, P.Eng, husband, father, son, brother, friend, died February 16, 2021, after receiving a diagnosis in mid-December of aggressive metastatic cancer. An ordinary man would be devastated, but as an adventurer and traveller at heart, he approached this news as he would approach any problem, with curiosity, respect, and thoughtfulness of others, in a purposeful and methodical way. He met and gathered perspectives from many people, from all participants (doctors to housekeeping) at the four hospitals involved in his care, his roommates in various stages of their illnesses, and by telephone with his dear friends who he likened to family. He remains forever in the hearts of his wife, Bonnie Reesor; his daughters and their compassionate partners, Mollie and Jerome (Perera) and Hannah and Iannis (Peponoulas); his mother, Regina; and his two sisters and their families, Ilse and Helga. He has a large extended family, and as a brother-in-law and Uncle Frank to many, he was an example of strength and resilience. We are most fortunate that as an exceptional photographer, he was able to capture beauty in the world around him, and the people that inhabit it. As his priority was always the safety and security of the people he cared for, we will wake him properly when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, in lieu of flowers please consider helping those less fortunate. "Lunch by George" in Kingston, Ont. or any local foodbank come to mind. "All will be well in the end, and if it's not? It's not the end." We have not lost him. I know exactly where he is. Grief is the price you pay for love.
