Gordon was my first cousin. We were childhood playmates, during wonderful summers spent at Gillies near Cobalt. While our young adult and middle years were separate from one another, we reconnected as we grew older. Our main bond was our mutual interest in family history, which helped to create many fond memories for me, of us sharing valuable and interesting information and stories. I often saw his quiet sense of humour, as we discussed some of the more "delicate" stories.

Gordon was a very intelligent, knowledgeable, accomplished and interesting man. And while he had every reason to boast about his successes, he remained humble about them. I greatly respected and admired that quality about him.

I will miss Gordon very much. He had become an important person in my life.

My family and I sadly send our most sincere condolences to Carolyn, Murray, Mary, Robert, Mimi and David and their families.
