What a tenacious and brave man Neil was to the very end.

We shared the deepest enthusiasm for music in general and Lieder in particular, and he was the very best producer anyone could hope for: the Schubert, Strauss and 'Ae fond kiss' discs happened because of his unfailing support.

My heart is so heavy and I am simply so sad since I heard of his passing - I am grieving a musical giant, a proud fellow Canadian, and most of all, a friend.

Dear Bruce:
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on Neil's passing.
He couldn't have found a more loving or caring partner than you.
Please know that when we can't carry on, Jesus will carry us where we need to go.
With sincere sympathy.
June Cavers.

Neil Crory was a musical visionary. His contribution to Canada's classical music culture is unprecedented. He was responsible for fostering the careers of many young singers who would go on to enjoy national and international careers. Neil was a Senior Music Producer with CBC Radio at a time when classical music still was an important part of CBC programming. He was responsible for about 20 CBC recordings, some of which were Juno award winners. Neil was a dear friend to me and to many of my CBC colleagues. His deep knowledge, his immaculate taste, his meticulous attention to detail, above all his burning passion for music will be sorely missed. Thank you, my friend! RIP
