A kind, generous person, who made such a positive difference in the lives of so many!

Dear Ivey family,
On behalf of the Jackson family I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your wonderful Father. We will remember him for his intelligence, generosity and leadership. I was always touched by his genuine curiosity about our family on the occasional interactions with him in Grand Bend, London and Toronto. We are sure you will miss him terribly.

Richard and I were shocked and saddened to read on line, about Dear Darling Dick's death. (We are in Mexico for the winter)

We all know how incredible a man he was in so many endless ways, there simply are not enough words to adequately pay homage, however his very fine mind, generosity, graciousness and gentle charm always stood out in my mind.
Everyone including his cleaning lady Carmen, loved him, he touched so many.

I had the great privilege of visiting him periodically at Belmont (with our therapy dog) over the last 8 years and always thoroughly enjoyed our encounters. He was the quintessential gentleman and truly one of the last of his kind on this earth.

Am sure that Mom and Dad welcomed Dick with open arms (and no doubt martinis) and that they are now all smiling broadly upon us as I type this.

Sending love and condolences to each of you during this very hard time.
With love,
Angela Brickenden and Richard Colterjohn.
