To Paul, Ango, Michael and John,
I am very sad that Russ Bannock has died. He was a really nice man. When my family lived on Doncliffe Drive, Mr. Bannock used to take me out to the country to cut down a Christmas tree. That was really fun. When he flew up to our cottage at Pointe au Baril, he took me for a ride in his turbo Beaver. It was a great looking plane and he was a good pilot. I will always have good memories of spending time with him.

Dear Bannock Family,

It has been a joy and a privilege to have known Russ for many years at Lake of Bays. He has been such an inspiration with his love of family and love of life. Our summer bridge games were very special times, with Russ a brilliant player and such enjoyable company. We will always remember him kayaking across the bay when at the cottage.

Please accept our sincere condolences,
Leslie & Neill Dunning (Calgary)

The the first mayor of Doncliffe Drive, it was great to have the Bannock's as neighbours and friends to this day. It is with pride when I visit my local legion, The Billy Bishop and when it comes up to share that I know Russ for his service in the war. Also touched by his continued help at the facility where his wife Norah spent time. And to live past 100. Incredible.. and so healthfully. The Jr. Darts can look on in awe. Much love to his extended multi generational family. I wish I could be there Friday. Suzy Thomas
