So very very sad to hear of Sheila's passing. For over 10 years, I had the pleasure of visiting Sheila monthly, with one of our four children in tow. As you can imagine, a visit to the orthodontist is never a delight for a child, but Sheila made the experience all the more pleasurable by taking a keen interest in their lives and their activities .She knew all four of them as unique individuals, and it showed. I miss those days, our chats about growing up in Oakville and about her recent ski trip and adventures.
Although we had not seen Sheila in close to 10 years, I regret not stopping in to her new offices on Avenue Road to say hello. Much missed, but never forgotten. We thank Dr Smith for her dedication, sense of fun, and upbeat disposition.
With love to her father, brother and extended family and friends,
Marie-Claire Roche

I am deeply sorry as this is very sad news, I send my deepest condolences to her family.
Dr. Sheila Smith was my daughter's orthodontist and very kind everytime I seen her. I have never met anyone as sweet as her. May god be with her and she rest in peace.

Dr. Sheila Smith was my orthodontist growing up, and in the 5 years I spent as her patient, every memory I have of her is a positive one. She had the brightest spirit and a contagious uplifting attitude, one that made a strong lasting impression on all of her patients, and undoubtedly, her family as well. My prayers and well wishes go out to her family and friends during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed.
