I was a summer research student with Dr. Murray in 1983. I wrote my first scientific paper with him and he was an inspiration to me. I have often thought of his approach when I am mentoring students and residents now. I am lucky to have worked with him and will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.

My sister Debbie Penny worked for him for many years. He was a good man. She passed in 2006 at the age of 47.

Rest in peace, Dr. Murray

Tim and Joan were our neighbours years ago on Castle Knock Road. We remember them with great fondness and joy at listening to the wonderful jazz sounds that came from their house. Knowing Tim was an enriching experience.

Tim and I were contemporaries at St Mike's and I have rich memories. His work was pioneering. My sympathy to the family.
