Happy new year, my love. I miss you.

Although it feels like a lifetime has passed since my precious Phil left me, it was only two months ago today that I awoke, for the first time, a widow. I feel like I’ve entered a new country and must learn a new language in order to survive. Remembering how much Phil loved me gives me the strength I need to continue my new life in this strange land. We must never forget how well Phil loved.

It seems like yesterday that Phil and Kathryn visited me in my apartment above the beauty shop in Lansdale. Phil was always pleasant, and when I visited their house in Chalfont, I felt very welcome. Phil will be missed by many, and loved by all.

Thinking of and sending healing thoughts to you and your family.

Although our hearts are full of sadness, our memories are forever filled with Phil's genuine love for his family, his kind approach to life, his patience, his smile, and his infectious laughter!

This is how I remember Phil -- funny, fun and loving. Ready to have a good time and always, always so deeply in love with his wife and family. It takes a real man not to fear showing affection and Phil was not afraid.

I met Phil once last year, when I came to Blue Bell and we all went out for dinner. It was so wonderful to see how close the two of you were. We had so much fun that evening, I remember Phil as someone who made us laugh the whole time, and of course he laughed with us! I am very much in thoughts with you Kathryn, and your girls. Send you warm messages.
