Dad,
I can't imagine that there was ever a better father in the world. Throughout our lives, you were always focused on all of us ...on your family and your children (and your patients) ... and never yourself.

You provided so many great childhood memories: Ocean City NJ, Florida, Mount Airy Lodge, Cruises, Boy Scout Trips, 1983 76ers playoff series and Championship games (picking me up from SJU for each game); Sunday afternoon's on the side line at the Archbishop Ryan Football Games (listening to the Eagles on your transistor radio). Yes, the transistor radio was one of your 2 favorite things along with your newspaper! Nothing was better to you than sitting on the beach in O.C. with your transistor radio and the Daily News (from the kid that came by on the beach).

When we were kids you never missed one of our activities or sporting events ... not sure if other doctors leave office hours mid day to attend cross country (in some field) & track meets. You were always there ... win or lose ... good or bad.

You provided us all with the best and unlimited education that which we could ever ask for but of course we never had to ask. You provided your children with many so life lessons including ... the value of education, strong work ethnic, sacrificing everything for your family, the willingness to become or act like a kid again at any age, to live a simple and respectable life, and an unwavering commitment to our Catholic faith ... never any of this by words but simply by EXAMPLE at all times.

You were also a great grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by them all.

You hung in there longest enough to get an Eagles Superbowl win and (2) additional Villanova Basketball National Championships ... all 3 of which I think my boys and I watched with you.

I don't think that I have ever met a more kind, caring, generous, loving, honest and humble person in my life.

Thank you for everything. You will be missed by many every day. Love you Dad and hope to see you again some day!

In a chance meeting 20 years ago on a tour bus in Italy, we met Dr. Jack and Kathy Quigley. Jack and Jim had much in common. They both attended Holy Cross School and Villanova University. They shared their love for Villanova basketball. We soon became like family spending time together in Ocean City, Florida, an Alaskan cruise and played hours of cards.

We admired Jack's deep faith in God, love of his family and his compassion with everyone he met. We will miss Jack.

I've been John's friend for the past 60 years. Family man and great husband. I'll miss him immensely. Highly respected physician and a wonderful colleague.
