Brian and Jeff and family--
So sorry to hear of Don's passing. I always enjoyed our paddles together, and we shared an interest in canals. One time Don drove the two of us down to Lackawaxen PA to look at the Roebling aqueduct built for the D&H Canal, and find evidences of the canal along the way. I have to say that riding on the back of his motorcycle was more exciting than the canal relics we saw that day! As Betty said at least a couple times to me, "With Don, the thought becomes the action." They were remarkable people. It was a joy to know them, even in a small way.

So many special memories of precious time spent with Dr. & Mrs. Postle that I hold close to my heart. They were a pair like no other can compare. Rest in peace, together again, with your bride Dr. Postle.

Don and Betty were such amazing volunteers at Freeville School! Betty helped in my classroom every day for my last 9 years before my retirement. She continued volunteering until just a week before she died. She had an uncanny ability to zero in on the students who needed her most. Overall she volunteered for 45 years! Don helped with many things as well--coloring Easter eggs, making donuts (Dr. Don's Deiicious Donuts), making peanut brittle, showing slides of maple syrupping. After his trip following the Lewis and Clark Trail he came in every year to show my students his tent and canoe and to show his slides of the trip. They are both sorely missed!
