I am so saddened to hear of Joan's passing. I have thought of her often since she moved from Ithaca to be near her children. I will cherish all of the long talks we had over her weekly manicures! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Sincerely,
Pam

Joan moved back to Missouri for a while after her mother died. We had grown up together there and shared an interest in music. I enjoyed several meals with Joan and many long talks. She helped me through my first cancer diagnosis. Then unfortunately my health kept me from seeing her. Recently Joan has been on my mind and only a few days ago I learned she was in Connectivut. I had plans to try to contact her. Joan was courageous, bright and great fun. I am grateful to have known her. Peace to her family. Jack Magness

Leah & Family,
You have my deepest sympathies in the loss of your wonderful mother Joan. She had such a great sense of humor.

I always kept an eye out for Silver Dollar coins for her collection.

She will be Missed.
