Bettie Hinchey Obituary

ADELYN KAY SCOTT Adelyn K. "Addie" Scott, October 11, 1942 October 10, 2025. Adelyn K. "Addie" Scott passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, just one day before her 83rd birthday. Born near Elyria, Kansas, she later graduated from Newton High School. Throughout her career as an accountant, secretary, and office manager, Addie was admired for her professionalism, warmth, and integrity. In 2019, she moved to Denton Village in Denton, Texas, where she enjoyed Mahjong, Mexican Train, exercise classes, and time with family and friends. Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Scott of Larned, Kansas. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Waltner; her son, Richard (Rick) Guhr and wife Carla; grandchildren Chase Guhr, Chanie Garriott, Beau Kobel, and Jessica Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends. A celebration of life will be held on October 16 at 10 a.m. at Denton Village Chapel, 2500 Hinkle Dr., Denton, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society. Addie will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and spirited presence. Adelyn Kay Scott

I worked with Addie years ago at Hesston Corp. She was always so professional but enjoyed socializing with coworkers after hours. I'll always remember her kindness and sweet smile.
