Leo Vincent (Ski) Lachowicz

Leo Vincent (Ski) Lachowicz, age 85 of Clarksville, TN, died on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on August 18, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Jacob Lachowicz and Helen Samulewicz Lachowicz. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Baxter Lachowicz; brother, John Lachowicz; and grandson, Samuel Lachowicz.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Terry Brown officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 2-6 p.m. with a masonic service to follow and Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Leo was retired from U.S. Navy and civil service. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of Queen City Lodge 761, Scottish Rite, Al Menah Shriners, Loyal Order of Jesters, Life member of VFW Post 4895, American Legion Post 233, and Fleet Reserve Branch 110.

He is survived by his son, Phillip (Sallie) Lachowicz of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Velda (Bob) Fort of Clarksville, TN and Judy Lachowicz of Hendersonville, TN; sister, Helen Sander of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe Robinson, and Tommy Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Fleet Reserve Branch 110.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4205 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216, Nashville, TN 37215 or Asera Care Hospice, 1539-C Ashland City Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
