Jessica Cavazos Obituary
Jessica was born on March 6, 1976 in Edinburg, TX to Jesus Cavazos and Lupita (Ruiz) Kearns. She attended Med-High in Mercedes and began her nursing career at the age of 19. She received her nursing degree from South Texas College and worked as a nurse in various sectors of the field from home health care to nursing homes. She was a frontline worker through the COVID-19 crisis. She worked for more than 20 years doing what she loved, nursing was her true calling.
Jessica was a natural caregiver and had a passion for taking care of people. She loved life and she lived a life she loved. She adored her family, her friends, and her son Jayden. She was quick to lend a helping hand to those in need, and she opened her heart and home to those she loved. Jessica enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her loved ones. She loved fashion and was always dressed to the nines. Jessica loved red lipstick, black mascara, lots of glitter and pretty nails. She was full of life, love, and happiness. Her amazing smile and kind heart will be missed by those who loved her.
Jessica is survived by her partner Jennifer Torres, her mother Lupita Kearns, her sister Rebecca "Becky" Cavazos-Garza, and son Jayden Taye Arrington.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.

I was sadden to hear of Jessica's passing, I had the pleasure of meeting her at BCNH, while selling plates & fruit cups. She quickly became one of my top customers and friend. She was beautiful both inside and out. Rest easy my friend & praying for her family.
