My name is Steve Tackett. I am from Plymouth Michigan. I served with Captain Danny and the 2/40 quartermaster battalion in 1970. He used to give me his already read Detroit newspapers. We had that Michigan bond. I have been looking for him for years. Didn't know he was this close. I recently returned to Vietnam to the site where I served. Thought of him many times.

I remember Doug since my freshmen and junior varsity football at MPHS. I never saw him at our reunions and was always disappointed. I really liked Doug and wanted to know him better. So sorry for your loss.

Paula, so sorry to hear about Doug. I always enjoyed chatting with him at the Seiter Center. Don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sue Kalocsay
