I thought of you today as I was teaching HLA analysis. You used to drive me mad with the things you would say, now i say those same things and drive others mad. You were a good teacher with a wealth of knowledge. You are missed

Please accept my sincere condolences. May you please find comfort in the powerful words written in the bible for our comfort during these heartbreaking days, and moments. Matthew 5:4 reads.. "Happy are those who mourn since they will be comforted."

I will miss you so much Mr. David. Words cannot express how much I miss you. Thanks for taking me out to get ice cream, elevation station, pizza and more. Thanks for all the fun times I got to have with Garrett! I love you tremendously! --"Zabigail"

I first met David when we were 10 when I joined the New Orleans Acrobatic Team. We have been great friends ever since for nearly 40 years. I will never forget his contagious smile, his generous love for friends all over the world, carrying a guitar wherever he went, his love of good food, and his genuine concern for me over the years. He was indeed an awesome friend who will be terribly missed. Love ya sweet friend, Brandone.

I had the pleasure of meeting David at Immucor. I remember him as an energetic passionate person always striving to help those in transplant diagnostics. Life is so short and time goes by , and we lose touch with colleagues but I will
Never forget him. I was in regulatory and I always joked with him that I was French from Boston not Louisiana that's why he couldn't understand me . He was so serious about his work but always ready for a laugh. I am so saddened to hear of his passing, and send prayers to his children, parents, and family that God may grant you comfort as David would want . May god bless you.

"Nordman" as we called him at Rummel always had a smile and was always upbeat, energetic, full of ideas, full of life, wanting to connect with people! As I read the other entries here, I can see he touched many lives in his short time in this world. On behalf of the class of 84, God rest your soul. St. John the Baptiste De La Salle, pray for us... live Jesus in our hearts forever!

I had the pleasure of working with David at Lifecodes and he told me transplantation would change me forever. You were right David but you did as well. Your infectious smile, your love of family especially your children (always a screen saver on your laptop), friends and music. No matter what was going on in your life you always made time for others to listen, help, teach, have fun or just be there. You were genuine making time for everyone. I will forever miss you and always remember you - be at peace my friend.

David was always full of life, very happy, and ready to help. I knew him for 15 years when he worked for a company that changed names three times. Once in Nashville we attended a blues club (he invited my whole lab from Houston, TX), and a sax player revealed from the stage that he has only one kidney. We wrote a note and Dave gave it to a bandleader that we can arrange a kidney transplant! The band played for us next three songs. When I moved to Toledo, OH, Dave visited with us and my lab. We played the disc from Nashville. He helped me with several clinical and research projects. He was always available to advise us, trained us with new kits and computer programs.

Dave was always very helpful, had a lot of knowledge about tissue typing. He contributed to our research projects. Always smiling and this is how I will remember him.
