Delia Burch Menge passed away on December 22, 2016 at the age of 101 years at 11:18 p.m. Beloved daughter of the late Ozelia Gaudin Burch and George Henry Burch; wife of the late Charles Albert Menge; mother of Mary Menge Lincoln and the late Charlene E. Menge; mother-in-law of Royce E. Lincoln; grandmother of Chuckie and James Lincoln; sister of the late, Henry Emile, Alvin, Wesley and Elwood Burch and Leona Champagne. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her four caregivers, Mary, Royce, Chuckie and James Lincoln and her close friend, June Bloss. Delia was born in New Orleans, living there for two years. She then moved to Wallace, Louisiana where she attended school. Moving back to New Orleans at the age of 20, she lived with her uncle Joe then resided with her friend, Maude until marrying on May 10, 1942 to Charles A. Menge. She was a housewife. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses at Canon Hospice, especially Lois and for the quality care received and also to Brenda, her aid. Also to Pastor Barbe, Denise, and Laura for their compassion and kind assistance during her last few days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 12:00 noon. With visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
