I am thankful that this site for Lori's guest book is still up. She is present still in the thoughts and memories of so many people that she knew and cared for. I hope that her close family and friends are doing ok. God bless, Janis Zeringue Campbell, Savannah, Georgia

Hi Ted, thank you for writing, and for your kind words. Lori enjoyed your company as well. We also cherish the memories of Lori: her comments that could be brilliant, insightful, sarcastic, witty, or full of grace. Her ready laugh and smile. Her keen observation skills. Thanks again for writing, and bless you. Beth

I am so sorry to have just learned of Lori's passing. She was such a wonderfully sweet, kind, and bright friend. I have the fondest memories of spending time with her during high school years at Ben Franklin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Beth, and with all of your family.

Hi Janis,Although I am sorry you had to hear about Lori's death, I am thankful the news somehow reached you and that you found this site. I certainly remember you from Lori's high school years but did not know how to reach you. Although Lori believed she was going to heaven and I share that belief, I miss her terribly. I will try to contact you through the link on your first post.

This is our first Christmas without our big Sis, Lori. I truly believe she is in Heaven, yet it is not easy realizing we will not see her here on Earth. She is absolutely missed. Her smile, her laugh and her ability to help folks feel at home are truly irreplaceable.

I would be most grateful to hear from any friend or family that is also distraught at Lori's passing at far too young an age . This should not happen to such a wonderful, giving person as Lori. I will pray for her loved ones every day--that is all that I know to do at this time. Every day my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Janis

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Lori's departure from this earth. Though we lost touch after high school, I will always remember and treasure her friendship, her sense of humor, her good spirit. Everyone who knew her was truly blessed.

Thank you to those who have shared their condolences and memories of Lori; we in her family most appreciate hearing from you. Thank you also to the individual, at this point unknown to us, who has kept this guest book online. Lori was treasured by many, a unique individual who will not be replaced. Alfred Lord Tennyson aptly said, "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." We all have wonderful memories that will stay with us. Also, our family believes that although she is no longer with us, we have actually not lost Lori and that we will one day be reunited in heaven. We look forward to that day.

I've known Lori for 25 years. We became friends working hideously long hours together in Austin. We would sneak away for a long lunches/dinners and blow off work and discuss life and our sucky jobs over some good food and a bucket of Rolling Rocks, or go to her nearby apartment and enjoy each others company.
My heart and head cannot accept Lori's passing. I know how important her family was to Lori and my deepest and heartfealt sympathies go out to you all.
I will miss sharing music, books and the absurdities of life with her. I am saddened that she never made it out to visit, pick berries and enjoy time together in the Pacific North West; I think it would have taken dynamite to get her out of New Orleans.
I already miss her wit, wry sense of humor, and long distance catch-up talks.
I will rage against the universe for awhile for taking her so soon. I will include her in my thoughts often to remind me that life is a gift and I'm so glad we were able to share some of our time together. I still feel the connection, and hope that it doesn't pass too soon. Meanwhile, I rage against the universe for you and what it lost my friend.
