BELOIT, Wis. - Dennis ""Denny"" Patrick Keefe, formerly of Plymouth, was born on March 9, 1937, in South Beloit, Ill. to Harold and Anna Keefe. Denny passed away peacefully at home, under the loving care of his daughter Denise and family, on Nov. 15.
Denny was formerly married to Sarah Talley, and from that union four children were born. James M (Susan) Keefe of Plymouth, Deborah K (Roger) Gottschalk of Bourbon, Sherry L. (Dan) Howe of Lawrenceburg, and Denise M (Leonard) Betker of Beloit, Wis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great, great – grandson. His Aunt Betty Fucsalla, his sister-in-law Leora Keefe, brothers-in-law James Riley and William Geiger, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters, two great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson.
Denny was a simple man that enjoyed simple things. He loved to watch NASCAR, play pool, Euchre, listen to Country/Blue Grass music, and drink a few beers with his buddies. He worked as a truck driver and continued to help out, long after he retired. His biggest joy was his children and grandchildren and seeing how well they were doing in life made him very happy.
A celebration of Denny's life will take place on Dec. 2, at Foster Funeral & Cremation Service, Beloit, Wis., visitation 12 p.m. until 2 p.m., service at 2 p.m.
A reception will follow at the VFW, 2711 S. Afton Rd, Beloit, Wis. 53511.
