HYDE - Charles E. 'Chuck' Marshall passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2021 at his residence in Hyde.

He was born on March 3, 1950 in DuBois, a son of the late Elmer and Grace (Fye) Marshall.

Chuck graduated from Clearfield Area High School in 1968.

He was a life member of the Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township Vol. Fire Departments and the District Fireman's Association. In past years he held many offices at those departments. In the past he was also the line up chairman for the Clearfield Fireman's Parade.

Chuck was a volunteer coach for Clearfield Little League for 15 years and enjoyed working with the youth. He was also a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, and the Knights of Columbus Council 409.

He had been a longtime employee of the former Berg Electronics, and was then employed by Bright Horizons of Clearfield.

When Chuck was able, he loved going to Florida as a "snowbird." More recently his focus was camping at Cayman Landing Treasure Lake in DuBois.

Chuck will be remembered as having a quick wit and the ability to always make you smile.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Kuna) Mallon-Marshall, whom he wed June 26, 2010.

Also surviving are his children, Sherry (Marshall) Kephart and husband Lance of Shiloh, Cynthia Marshall and significant other C.J. Hetrick of Clearfield, and Charles 'Chuckie' Marshall and wife Alison of Clearfield; three step children, Timothy J. Mallon and wife Betsy, Gregory S. Mallon and wife Jennifer, and Matthew C. Mallon; 12 grandchildren whom he adored and were his pride and joy. He was so proud of their accomplishments and the young men and women they've become. He so loved them. Also surviving are a brother, Gary L. Marshall of Clearfield; a sister, Peggy (Marshall) Sawtelle and husband John of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Behel) Marshall on March 10, 2004. He was also preceded in death by two infant grandsons, Mason Tyler Kephart, and Alec Mason Marshall; and a sister-in-law, Barbara J. (Undercoffler) Marshall, all leaving an emptiness in his heart.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Brandon M. Kleckner as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the local fire department of your choice; or Clearfield Youth Baseball Association, 2800 104th Calvary Rd., Clearfield, PA 16830.

Oh my was very grieved to see this. He was just a good ole boy in my opinion. Remember him and Silvia and especially “Izzy”! Actually believe I remember him getting her for you Silvia. My memory may be faint but very sorry to hear this. Pretty sure I’m not the only one that will miss him. Stay Safe. The new normal for care. Sincerely, Cindy Lou
