PHILIPSBURG - Sandra L. Swansegar, 70, formerly of Philipsburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021 at Penn Highland DuBois.

Born May 6, 1950 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Betty Jones.

She wed Rudy Swansegar, who survives in Clearfield.

Also surviving are her sons, Rudy Swansegar and fiancé Cindy Duvall of Broadtop, and Paul Swansegar of Philipsburg; grandson, Darin Swansegar of Broadtop; and her sister, Norma Jones, Albuquerque, N.M.

Along with her parents, she was preceded by her brother, Bill Jones.

Sandra was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Philipsburg. She was a graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School. She enjoyed reading, coloring, shopping, going on trips and spending time with her family and friends.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, is in charge of the arrangements.

I was so sad to hear that you have left us, but I know you are better now and in a better place. Tell Bill I said hello. You and I were good friends and it was my pleasure every time I saw you, talked to you and laughed with you. My heart hurts as it did when Bill left us. Hopefully you will both be looking out for me! Thoughts with Rudy. I am sure this is so hard for him.

Sandy I sure will miss your sweet loving self. From being your neighbor most of my childhood, to taking care of you in your final months I’ve loved knowing you and Rudy!
