Passed away peacefully three days prior to her 91st birthday at her residence, Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Helen was born on February 24, 1930 in Milverton, Ontario and has since resided in Milverton where she raised her family. She was known to many in the community having worked at the Milverton Post Office including serving as the Post Master for 30 years. When not working, Helen spent time at many arenas and ball diamonds following her children's sporting events. Later she took pride in their careers and families. Although she was proud of her children, she and Doug made it known they loved spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren more. She is survived by her children: Jim (Marie), Bill (Marilyn), Ken (Mary Helen) and Cheryl. Her grandchildren Erin (Mike Doan), Kathy (Greg Leung), Amy, Kristy Lynn (Jamie Taylor), Bonnie (Kevin Pomfret), Lindsey (Mitchell Krieger), Joshua, Jeffrey and Shane (Mai Huynh), and of course her great-grandchildren: Henry, Tyler, Dakota, Ryker, Hadleigh, Sydney, Jake, Hannah, Harper, Cheyenne, Carla and Courtlyn. Helen is predeceased and now reunited with her beloved husband Douglas Dale who predeceased her January 11, 2015, son Brian Dale (February 5, 2021), father and mother Walter and Viola (Attridge) Hoffman, parents-in-law George and Margaret (McEwin) Dale, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Red and Gladys Dale, Keith and Eleanor Dale, Bruce and Betty Dale, Donald Dale. Helen is survived by one sister-in-law Audrey Date and by many nieces and nephews. Helen was a longtime and very active member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Milverton. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff of Knollcrest Lodge for the exceptional care provided to Helen over the years. Due to COVID considerations, there will be a private family service with Jeffrey Dale officiating. Interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Knollcrest Lodge, St. Peters' Lutheran Church, Milverton or to the Brian (Barney) Dale Memorial Fund at Stratford Perth Community Foundation.
