It is with a very heavy heart that the Crawford family mourns the loss of Helen, wife of Grant-best friend and soul mate for 40 years. Mother to Meaghan (Brad) and Ronnie (Danielle), grandma to Grayson and Christian. Helen fought a courageous four-year battle with breast cancer. She leaves a legacy of beautiful, hand-made quilts and a loving imprint on the hearts of her many friends. Helen loved to bake and was considered by many as the best baker. Her first love was family and her wish was to be around those she loved most for her final life chapter. The family would like to acknowledge the incredible care provided by her homecare nurses, Jade, Toni, and Kelly. A private service will be held at the family's request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. "You will never walk alone".

My sincerest condolences Grant, Meaghan, Ronnie, and families. We were friends through high school and nursing college. Sadly as happens we lost touch but did run into each other on occassion. Shared lunches, Polish dances, Leafs games, bicycling across the city of Hamilton, and dinner at the Lychee Gardens following ice skating in TO were filled with laughter and fun gossip.
I know you will hold her in your hearts forever.

So Sad to hear about Helen. I worked with her at Parkdale and travelled many trips to Lancaster for quilt shows with the gang. My condolences to her family.

We were very saddened to read of Helen's passing. Helen was our childhood friend in the north end of Hamilton, going to Benetto Public School and then on to the same high schools. She was always very funny and making us laugh all the time. We used to trade lunches...our Japanese food for her Polish food. Although our careers took us in different directions, and we didn't stay in touch, we did bump into Helen occasionally. When we did see each other, we chatted like we were old friends, and the time that had passed was non-existent. Our deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to you, Meaghan and Ronnie and their families. May your memories of all the good times bring you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
With deepest condolences
