I remember MAC as riding the biggest horse in Back country Horsemen, his wife Penny talking about exotic places to tour and his outstanding collection of Forest Services memorabilia. He was a friend that provided fond memories. Our thoughts are with you, Penny in these trying times

Loved seeing Mac all through the years at Dr Neilson's ( I was his hygienist ) He was always so happy , funny and always praises his sweet wife Penny ! Heaven better be ready for his Wit !!

During my 12+ years on the Dixie, I received many of Mac's travel reimbursement checks, apparently due to the similar pronunciation of our last names. Our esteemed Remington Raiders of R-4 had difficulty realizing that I'm of the hydrated branch of Thompsons and that Mac had no "P" in his surname. At any rate we became good friends and made many big 11s at Brian Head ski area. Hugh Thompson
