Rita Jean Gordon Cheser, 69, of Louisville, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 8:02 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at Highland Health and Rehab Center in Louisville.
She was born in Lebanon, Kentucky, Jan. 21, 1949, to the late Donal Edward and Ruby Louise Hill Gordon.
She was a 1967 graduate of Washington County High School and a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Alex Cheser of Jeffersonville, Indiana and three brothers, Billy Gordon (Katherine) of Lebanon, Bruce Gordon (Judy) of Springfield and Johnny Gordon (Jackie) of Kennesaw, Georgia.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Clellan Hays officiating.
Burial was on Cemetery Hill in Springfield.
Serving as pallbearers were Billy Gordon, David Gordon, Kaleb Rice, Timothy Hill, Reggie Davenport and Joey Horn.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
