Along with everyone else, I was shocked to hear of Ross' passing. I first met Ross when we had both just started working for Quadra. Along with Archie McPherson, the 3 of us made the long journey from Virden, MB to Outlook, SK but the time passed quickly as we shared experiences and information about one another and the new company we were starting work for. Ross was a true gentleman and friend and I will always remember his hearty laugh and willingness to share. I admired him for all his great qualities.

On behalf of Averill and I, we too were shocked to hear of this tragic event upon returning from holidays. A few lines of text can never summarize a person's character but in the case of Ross I will simply state he was an enjoyable person to be around.

Oh my goodness - where does one start? What a shock - too young, too soon... Ross was indeed one of the finest.... His smile, kind and loving nature set him apart.... We were priviledged to have spent an evening just a week before with Shelley and Ross at our home at a house concert. We were so blessed to have had such a great visit! Just a super nice man - what more can one say? Our prayers go out to Shelley and Ross' family - may God grant you strength....
Celebrate his life and all the good memories!

We wish to offer our respect and deepest sympathies for Ross and his family. We have known Ross since he began as a dedicated builder of our Pork Industry. We are a success because of people like Ross.
Always positive, always a visionary, one of the few who could make his points while building teams. While all of us will miss Ross's leadership and presence, again he has taught us a valuable lesson; life is way to short to be taken for granted.

Shelley,
You chose a good man, a gentle-man. Ross had many admirable qualities and abilities. He was, most notably, able to demonstrate his whole-hearted love, respect, admiration, appreciation and confidence in you. I really liked that about Ross.
Because of the recent death in my family, I know you will feel Ross's absence beyond measure. I am so sorry, my dear friend, that you must experience this heartache.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. My love, as well, to Mitch and Nicole.

I was shocked to hear the tragic news of Ross's passing. Ross had way of adding common sense to industry discussions. He also had a warm way of engaging others in a discussion. But more than anything, I remember his smile, his sense of humor and his ability to separate wheat from chaff - figuratively and literally! My condolences to Ross' family and friends.

“Those of us left behind?shall indeed mourn Ross' death, but we shall also know ?that his Soul and Spirit ?is coming back ?to Holy Mother and Holy Father, ?and that he shall be made whole again.
We shall cry, but we shall also laugh,?for we shall celebrate the Life that had been given to Ross.
And let him also know ?that as we now merry part,? that we shall also merry meet again.
And we now, with candles ?respect the flame of Ross' life, ?and though these candle flames shall die out, ?we know that Ross shall live on, ?and his flame shall never cease to burn, ?and we also know that he shall be reborn anew.
Take him by the hand and ?guide him back into your heart, ?for this is what is right and just.
Let him walk unerringly ?down the path that leads to your Love.
This is our will and so mote it be. ?Amen and Amen.”

Oh Ross you left too soon. You were a mentor and inspiration to me in how you dealt with every curveball that life threw at you. You choose not too become bitter or to feel sorry for yourself, you instead used it to become stronger.Being busy is not a valid excuse to not spend more time with friends and I regret not taking you up on your invitations more often.Rest In Peace, may knowledge of your faith sustain your loved ones at this time.
