This is from Jamie, Richard Bell's wife. Jack and I met late in Jack's life. I was so impressed with him and Pauline's abiding love for each other. Jack was so kind and gracious to me, a newcomer in the family at that time.
Dearest Pauline: May you and your family find good consolation and solace during this hard time.

My Uncle Jack was a year older. We grew up together. We have happy lifelong memories of me, (cousin) Patty and Jack on childhood adventures. Jack told me he got kind of famous on ship because he could make delicious ice cream. We two had the job of churning the ice cream for family get- togethers. There 's no closer loving marriage than Pauline and Jack. Jack's paintings are evocative and detailed canvases. He was a stand-out talent.
