While I have my own especially fond memories of getting to play full-court basketball with Joe during my grad school years in Muncie, I will mostly remember him as a great friend, colleague, and cohort in practical jokes to my father, Ray Kennedy. The Naumcheff, Kauffman, Kennedy admissions team under Dr. Rowry was especially successful growing BSUs enrollment and reputation during the 70s and 80s. With a genuine love of BSU and a great camaraderie between them all, they created a great legacy for themselves, the department, and the school. When they were in one place, the yarns would be many and the laughs would be constant. Joe's may talents, his devotion to family, his wit and his love of life, are all things that Joe gifted to those of us fortunate enough to enjoy his company. On behalf of the Kennedy and Klem families, we offer all of you our prayers in your time of grief, we share in your sense of loss, and we celebrate with you a Joe's life which was very, very well-lived.

It was so enjoying visiting with Uncle Joe, he was so knowledgeable on many topics. I always learned something chatting with him. If there was a ball game at a family reunion, regardless of his age he was right there in the middle of it. My deepest condolences on his passing. This nephew will miss him.
