Christine Davis
Muncie - Muncie-Christine H. Davis, 87, passed away early Sunday morning, December 3, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on August 24, 1930, in Whitley City, Kentucky, the daughter of Claude E. and Lorrie (Ledbetter) Frady.
Christine attended Whitely City Schools and later married the love of her life, Rev. Hoyt Davis o November 2, 1946 and he survives. Besides being a devoted Pastor's Wife, she had sold Mary Kay Cosmetics and Avon for over 20 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Esther White Shrine, and the Bethel United Baptist Church, enjoyed doing crochet work, making Afghans, collecting angels and dolls.
Besides her husband of 71 years, Hoyt, she is survived by one daughter, Betty Sue Perry (husband-James), Sidney, Ohio; one son, Claude Earl Davis (wife-Evelyn), Nashville, Tennessee; one grandson, Scott Earl Davis; a special nephew, Jim Ledbetter, Spokane, Washington; Several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Debbie Phillips (husband-Eugene), Muncie.
She is preceded in death by one son, Alvin Davis; one daughter, Helen Joan Davis; her parents, her foster parents(Lige and Lilly Waters); three brothers, Kenneth Frady, Bobby Frady and Doyle Frady; a sister, Magdalene Cook.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastors Larry Waters and Bruce Waters officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Wednesday evening, December 6, 2017, at the Parson Mortuary from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Thursday morning, December 7, 2017, from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel United Baptist Church 301 N. Eastwood, Muncie, IN 47303.
