To the St. Ledger Family, I have had four teachers who really impacted my life and Mr. St. Ledger was one of them. Dave was simply one of the best educators I have ever had the opportunity to have. He challenged and inspired me, and so many, to challenge ourselves. He gave us confidence in our selves and he gave a a big picture of the value of history. It was my pleasure to have known him. Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Mr. St. Ledger taught my daughters, and they had the utmost respect and admiration for him. I think what is most telling is that they wept when they heard of his passing. God Bless and keep him, and thank you Mr. St. Ledger for being an inspiration to them.

Heaven has gained a wonderful man that will be missed so much on this earth. He is a fine example of what a man should be. He always asked about myself and my family, and my weekend plans every time I saw him. I will miss seeing his smiling face at the post office, where he came to see me. The world would be a much better place if we all could aspire to be like him.

Susan and familymy deepest sympathies. I loved reading about how he touched so many lives, from the countless letters of recommendation to inspiring numerous scholars to love history and to most importantly loving so many people. Knowing Susan this all makes sense that she came from fantastic parents. My thoughts are with you during this time of loss and remembering.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. St. Ledger's passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and condolences. Mr. St. Ledger was my favorite teacher and inspired me to become a teacher also, hoping to emulate his kindness, integrity, and love of teaching. He truly had a gift, a warm smile that melted the heart of every student who entered his classroom, making each and every one of us feel special. We genuinely respected him, as he respected us, motivating us to become the best individual possible, his beloved "scholars." Rest in peace Mr. St. Ledger, your presence made the world a better place.

My thoughts and prayers are with the St. Ledger family. He was such an inspiring teacher at Forest City High School, not just by encouraging us to think about the challenges in democracy, but by genuinely demonstrating compassion and kindness to all. His example helped all his students become better people.
