Shirley Hunsinger, West Scranton, died Friday evening at Allied Services Hospice Unit after an illness. Her husband, Jack C., preceded her in death in 2010.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late David and Helen Chambers Jones, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Before retirement, she was a seamstress in the local garment industry.
She was of the Protestant faith and an avid bingo player.
The family would like to thank the staff at Andrew Brown's for all its help in the past 10 years.
Surviving are four sons, Jack Jr. and John, Georgia; David and Michael, Scranton; three daughters, Cindy Estades, Barbara and Susan Hunsinger, all of Scranton; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Farrence, Stroudsburg; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Bomberger-Lesko Funeral Home Inc., 1660 N. Main Ave.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the COPD Foundation.

Sue, very sorry for your loss. You were a very caring, daughter and took care of her until the end. I wish you peace in the fact you did all that you could. She would be very proud of you.
