It was a honor during the time we was in with Bill to help out. I know he will be missed, but one day there will be a glorious reunion! Praying comfort for the family. From Touched By Angels II

Bill was unique, uniquer than most, if that's possible! What a blessing to share ministry for many of those years at Fairmont/Wesley Foundation. I join the legions giving thanks for his love, his witness, his legacy. From his thespian days, he had a great story -- his only line was "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their horsemen," either before or after he blew a trumpet. I guess it didn't work out. Peggy's family first knew him back in his bachelor days as they landed next door to each other every summer at Lake Junaluska. Love to you all!

As his intern at the Raleigh Wesley Foundation while I was in my final year at Duke Divinity School, I learned much from Bill. He was a dedicated, caring, and wise mentor and minister, inspiring me in my journey to become a theologian and professor. I will be forever grateful.
