Mrs. Patricia Vandiver, age 87, of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Forrest City, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at The Villa Nursing Home in Texarkana, Texas. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Vandiver was born May 3, 1930, in Forrest City, and was the daughter of Joe Perdzock and Elfa Werstlein Perdzock. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was a housewife and a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mrs. Vandiver married J. W. Vandiver, and he preceded her in death in 1997.
She is survived by one son, Greg Vandiver, and wife, Tammy, of Texarkana, Ark.; one sister, Bobbie Gunter of West Memphis; one sister-in-law, Jane Rowe of Minden, La.; two granddaughters, Nicole Lambert and Holly Latham; and four great-grandchildren, Dixie, Emory, Eryn and Elliott.
Visitation for Mrs. Vandiver will be Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, from 6 to 7 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Services for Mrs. Vandiver will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at 10 a.m., at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are to be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, P.O. Box 786, Forrest City, Arkansas, 72336.
